Telefon

A telefon, amelyet az It's Your Call című küldetés után kapunk meg számos funkcióval bír, és akár nevezhetjük a játékmenet egyik központjának is. Ha tovább olvassátok a cikket, megtudhattok néhány dolgot a funkcióiról. A városban két telefonszolgáltató is van, ezek a Whiz és a BitterSweet.

Hívás
A telefonok alap funkciója, hogy használhatjuk őket hívásokra is. A GTA IV-ben sincs ez másképp. Küldetések közt, küldetések során felhívhatnak munkaadóink, és közlik, hogy hogyan is megy majd tovább az akció, vagy barátaink, barátnőink hívnak el minket „randira", de akár mi is megtehetjük ezt.

Ãœzenetek
Munkaadóink nem csak felhívhatnak, de SMS-t is küldhetnek. Ha elbukunk egy küldetést kapunk egy SMS-t, hogy újrakezdhetjük a küldetést, ilyenkor nem kell vissza kocsikáznunk, azonnal elindul a bejátszás.

Naptár
A telefonunkban hasznunkra lehet a Naptár, és annak emlékeztető funkciója. Ha valamelyik küldetés csak bizonyos időpontban érhető el, vagy magában a küldetésben egy megbeszélt időpontra kell elmennünk egy találkozóra hasznos lehet ez a funkció.

Beállítások
Telefonunkban pár dolgot be is állíthatunk. Például a csengőhangunkat megváltoztathatjuk, beállíthatjuk, hogy telefonunk rezegjen-e vagy sem, vagy akár Néma üzemmódot is választhatunk.

Zenelejátszó
A modern világban természetesen rádiót is hallgathatunk a telefonunkon. Viszont hang rosszabb minőségű, mintha egy autóban hallgatnánk a zenéket.

Csalások
A csalások a játékban tulajdonképpen telefonszámok, amelyeket ha felhívunk, aktiválják a csalást. Ha használunk egyet az automatikusan el lesz mentve a Cheats menüben, így onnan akármikor gyorsan lekérhetünk magunk elé egy járművet, vagy kérhetünk egy kis fegyver utánpótlást.

Multiplayer
A beépített multiplayer funkciót a telefonunkon keresztül érhetjük el.

Felhívható Telefonszámok
A játékban szereplő éttermek, boltok, vagy egyéb szolgáltatást érhetünk el telefonon. Ezek listáját olvashatjátok most.

Internet

A játékban szintén fontos szerepet játszik az internet is. Küldetések során sokszor hasznát vesszük, de akár a társkereső oldalakon ismerkedhetünk, szerezhetünk barátnőket. Egyes weboldalak segítségként is szolgálhatnak, ha valamit meg akarunk találni, például az egyik honlapon térképeket találunk.

A tájékozódás a nagyvárosban nagyon fontos, mivel könnyen eltévedhetünk. A fejlesztők az autókba GPS-t is szereltek. Ha a térképen megjelölünk egy pontot (Waypont), akkor az út sárga színre színeződik, amerre mennünk kell. A luxus autókban azt is hallhatjuk, hogy a GPS-ben egy emberi hang mondja az utasításokat. Küldetések során automatikusan aktiválódik a GPS, tehát megmutatja, hogy merre kell mennünk a kijelölt pont eléréséhez.

TV

Egy érdekesség a játékban, hogy akár TV-t is nézhetünk. Érdekes műsorokat nézhetünk meg pihenés- vagy szórakozásképp, akár ismerős helyeket is megpillanthatunk.

Rádió

Mint az eddigi összes többi GTA játéksorozat részében úgy itt is találhatóak rádió adások. Ezeket valamiféle járműből tudjuk hallgatni. Amit még a járókelők is halhatnak járművünkbõl.
